Before considering cleaning a monument, I come out to the site and perform an assessment. I inspect and record the condition of the stone, the soiling issues, and the environment. I then plan a safe approach. The goal of cleaning is to remove dangerous particles that threaten the integrity and longevity of the stone; it is not to make an older stone look brand new. On more aged stones, some patina is to be expected. A professionally cleaned stone can often go several years before requiring another thorough cleaning. A light clean & rinse will often do the trick during that period. On the other hand, if a monument rests in an environment with heavy foliage or is subject repeatedly to a particular soiling agent, then more cyclic maintenance would be the recommendation.
Beginning May through October, annual, 3 seasons, and monthly service periods are available to perform the following tasks.
Packages are available, and discounts for multiple stones serviced in the same cemetery are offered. We appreciate those who have fought for our freedom. In honor of our veterans, we give a 10% discount.
Because each monument varies in cleaning needs, it is necessary to perform a field assessment. Assessments are free to all cemeteries within local area A. Outside of service area ‘A,’ there will be a $25 non-refundable assessment fee deducted from your service bill.
There are several reasons why a person may not visit their loved one in a cemetery. Physical inability is one. The family moved out of town, or an individual might be hospitalized or immobile. In some instances, a person is not ready to visit the cemetery. In your absence, I can bring floral bouquets, wreaths, palms, anniversary items, set a grave light, and place some painted rocks, pictures, and plants within the cemetery’s regulations I can provide directly to your loved ones one’s graveside. I will even create a visitation video if that is your request.
Grave gardens are beautiful and add that special delicate touch! Some gardens require minimal effort, while others take careful planning with more commitment. The height and spreading of plants should be considered during the planning stage and the water requirements of plants. Consider if they are heated/drought tolerant, sun/shade lovers, their blooming periods, drainage, soil issues, and the surrounding area trees and vegetation. Gardens can be created to fit almost every budget and lifestyle! Rock gardens are an attractive option.
